packing this up , unpacking that ...

A day or two ago marks the anniversary of the last time i was 'required' to live the lie that i had lived for so long.

This week marks the low point in the year for the world of retail logistics, Christmas and the January sales  are over, volumes are depressed as  while  most people have had their January pay day now,  it's January  and the joys of the  often extended month  ( as some employers who  pay monthly  pay you early in December so payroll dept don't have to  do all the final processing in the  period between the 27th and normal payday) mean that people, may put on  their upgrades or none 'distress' purchases  until next month or even until after they've done their 'spring cleaning' ...

This also marks the climactic none-event that  was Miss Nicola Jayne <surname> walking onto the shop floor as her true self ...

So there was a deal of packing up to do ...  much of which still sits packed up  looking for worthwhile places to be sent  (I'd much rather give  stuff like suits, ties and nice shirts to either a trans guy starting out or a cis guy who needs a sartorial hand up to get himself out of poverty , than randomly  send it to a  charity shop or rag merchants) ...

so what's the unpacking...  30 + years of  repressing  my need to be me ... I have been called an overgrown  kid on number of occasions  in the  past year,  generally in jest   and often by people are just as much a bunch of  overgrown
kids; you know who you are #TBRFamily...  see the post ...The four ages of Nicola Jayne  for a bit more of a discussion on that topic ...
