What leads to Transition - Part 2

What leads to transition part 1  took us to  20 year old 'that  boy' returning to the family home tail between legs  after falling  out with the maths in an Engineering Degree.

A not quite a year out followed with some reconsidering and  reflection and the decision to  apply for  a pre-registration health professional  course ...

Another three years of wearing the mask  followed , along with some private solace as me ...

During this time  my  father became increasingly unwell and  the start of the 'survival years' began  ...  his illness, his death and then  my  wife having two miscarriages  wiped out most of the  decade  2002 -2012   which  resulted in a fairly massive implosion and breakdown  which resulted in me leaving Nursing and facing a regulatory action.

Another few years of survival, including a stint of being technically homeless  and an increasingly  strained relationship with my wife  ended up with us seperating and me returning once  again to the family home...

An ultimately abortive attempt to return to Nursing followed, but  more importantly for this story, a  new set of friends and a few surreal conversations  which resulted in finally all those  puzzle pieces  getting collected and most of them clicking together...

Nicola was here and Nicola had some catching up to do, the question was  who was hanging on to 'that boy' ?  was it that boy  or  was it Nicola ...

The answer to that  question came over the summer of 2017 ...
