giving yourself permission to mess up or mess around
So often in life we don't have permission, or don't think we have permission to mess around or mess up.
Sometimes we have to specifically be given permission to mess up...
A classic example of this in one of my regular ballet classes where a new exhortation of the teacher when it's time for pirouettes "try for doubles it doesn't matter if you mess them up, I know you can do singles" ... "doubles are actually easier than singles as you don't need to be worrying about slamming the brakes on"
