My international dance day began with a trip to the North East to see a friend who is a costume maker ( and fellow dancer) for a consultation for a bespoke Tutu, after Lunch at the Metrocentre Ikea we sat down and talked design, materials and measurements... watch this space for further updates and progress reports on this and the young designer/ maker behind this.
Along with this I also got news that my order of Leotards from the Sara Mearns Collection at So Danca had arrived at Adage Dance which is also where my Pointe Fitting Fairy Godmother is a person of significant importance... Sadly I didn't manage to get to Harrogate in time to pick them up ... so no pictures of those yet ...
To round out the day class with Gordon Stevens (previously of NYCB) at Hype Dance in Sheffield and learning the choreography for the piece for Hype's show in June
