unpromisable things

I have recently had someone try and make me make a promise that there is is no conscensible way of keeping.

Asking someone  never to take an action  over someone's behaviours is impossible, especially when they want you to not act  if what they are doing is unethical or  even illegal , or on a lesser  basis just  really damaging to people or  organisations.

This is not my first rodeo when it comes to being a manager of an organisation, ntr am I naive about  the ethics of it all.

So while  you may have wanted that promise, I am actually going to be Mademoiselle Non!  over that ...   think of that  what you will , call me uppity   and arrogant if you wish ...   does this face look bovvered ?
