I have been described as a Member of the Oppressor Class by an academic solely on the basis of my old job and the title of the Degree I hold.
There in lays an issue in relation to how people and communities interact, and a whole overlay of pragmatism vs dogma and how in the case of some things , distance allows people to to forget their own feelings from the time they were close to an issue...
