When the rabbit hole's wall come inwards ...

I'm kind of notorious for saying 'welcome down the rabbit hole' about Adults starting to take dance classes... thing is I know I fell down the rabbit hole and indeed we are all quite mad about it all.

I've written at length how the culture within adult ballet is so unlike anything else I've experienced.  i was chatting to  a friend who is professional dancer /  teacher / choreographer today and I was saying how I really miss being able to take a proper class and how it's not helping my anxiety... This is even with the ability to
keep taking class via Zoom and the like and get some of the same feedback and corrections you'd get in an actual class.

Yes, there are some lovely classes on youtube / facebook live / Instagram but  you don't get the feedback that you get in the studio or on a video conferenced class.

That said, it's nice to take class via these methods with people you haven't had chance to take a class with before or haven't taken class with for a long while, also it's fun to try and keep up with the barre of 'big 5' Company Classes...

so for someone who had pre-lockdown been spending up to 5 hours a week in the studio without doing anything special (and a hell of lot more some weeks)  it's hit hard ...

Especially as i'm someone who 'takes up space' in the centre, while i'm not mega tall in general standards, I'm tall against female norms, especially against  dancer norms...

So yeah the walls are closing in a bit...

So when that happens you  dig another rabbit hole  as well as shoring up the walls of the  rabbit hole you  were down ...

So I've been dusting off the A-level Physics and studying for an amateur radio Foundation Licence ...
