What Have I learnt in Lockdown (Tech Edition #1)

As those of you who follow me on Facebook will know , one of the things I've done  in the past few months is  study for, pass  the exam and get my  Foundation Amateur Radio Licence. 

A chance conversation early in lockdown on social media drew my attention to the  online training provided by Pete Sipple and the  Essex Ham / Foundation Online  team  and also that the RSGB  who administer the exams to get your Amateur Licence (as the  licence itself is  issued by Ofcom)  had changed the rules to allow exams to be taken from home, online  via the testing software  they use and  webex  or Zoom ...

So dusting off the A level physics and getting my brain a bit of a workout ( as bodily workouts have been limited during  lockdown - I really  do need to get back in the studio and dance properly) led to me me Sitting the  Foundation  Amateur radio exam on the 13th of  June and  passing with 96% ...
