What is Safeguarding? and why do Bigots try to appropriate it ?

Safeguarding is often bandied about as reason why transgender people, and especially transgender women are a problem and should be excluded from  various settings, roles or services. 

Safeguarding children is defined in Working together to safeguard children as:

• protecting children from maltreatment
• preventing impairment of children’s health or development
• ensuring that children are growing up in circumstances consistent with the provision of safe and effective care
• taking action to enable all children to have the best outcomes

Safeguarding vulnerable adults is defined in the Care and support statutory guidance issued under the Care Act 2014 as:

• protecting the rights of adults to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect
• people and organisations working together to prevent and stop both the risks and experience of abuse or neglect
• people and organisations making sure that the adult’s wellbeing is promoted including, where appropriate, taking fully into account their views, wishes, feelings and beliefs in deciding on any action
• recognising that adults sometimes have complex interpersonal relationships and may be ambivalent, unclear or unrealistic about their personal circumstances and therefore potential risks to their safety or well-being

The definition of Vulnerable adult  under the Care act 2014 (which covers England) is

"For example, the Care Act 2014, which covers England, defines the person who should be subject of a safeguarding enquiry as an adult who:

• has needs for care and support (whether or not the local authority is meeting any of those needs) and;
• is experiencing, or at risk of, abuse or neglect; and;
• as a result of those care and support needs is unable to protect themselves from either the risk of, or the experience of abuse or neglect."
  
  the definitions in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are similar as you can see here.
  
  So what's the relevance to this to the way in which Safeguarding is used against trans folx?
  
  Unfortunately we are back to our old friends the second wave 'radical Feminist' and particularly the separatists... (and tied in with that Political Lesbianism) who see anyone they in their particular twisted view perceive to be 'men' , and that everyone they  perceive to  be a 'man'  is a predator... 
  
  Unless, it seems  that the man in question is a transgender man i.e. someone assigned female at birth, when they will be infantilised and  disempowered as a 'confused young lesbian lead astray by the trans cult...'
  
  In this false narrative anyone deemed a 'man' is a predator and a threat, and transgender women doubly so as they 'deceive' and demand their 'male bodies'  have access to 'sacred' female only spaces...
  
  Actual Safeguarding practise makes no assumptions or presumptions about the risk that  a.n.other random person poses regardless of their  gender  or sexuality
